One of my favourite bands ever .... I have never seen them live and now I never will... Balls.....

The Delgados, influential figures in Glasgow's independent
music scene for over 10 years, have announced that they
are to amicably disband.

autobiographies are the bane of my life

I have worked out what is wrong with me. I am suffering from Piersitis whereas my boss has a severe case of Piers Disease.
There doesn't seem to be a cure but at least if the condition worsens I am hopeful he will be frogmarched from the building.

does my bum look big in this

So me and the Rock Chic went to see Interpol last night. I am sickening for something, it was cold and I wasn't in the humour to talk to anyone. But they are RC's favourite band so off we went. We met some nice people in the beginning but then I got sandwiched in the pit between Blackheart and a very nasty girl with blonde hair and too much lipgloss. I don't really know her too well but I know her enough to dislike her immensely. And that's not like me - I am all hearts and flowers.
Interpol were amazing and lifted me out of my mood of gloomy inertia - they made me feel murderous instead which was better considering the company I was keeping.
We went for a drink afterwards and the main topic of conversation was poor Paul's bum and tum. There is a lesson in this - never wear school uniform style trousers and a jumper unless you are either incredibly skinny or don't care that half the audience will talk about the size of your arse at the aftershow.
I was quite shocked. I thought it was only women people talked about in this way. And Eamonn Holmes of course.
I met lots of nice people including Mr Domino and The Nicest Manager Of All Time.
His new band were knocking around - one of them was wearing winklepicker boots with Cuban heels. For this alone I will go and see them next time they play.

I am getting quite panicked today

For no good reason I feel like climbing the walls.
Team F went for a "Quiet Night In" on Saturday. Me and Rock Chic decided to have a few glasses of wine while watching the coverage on the Pope's death. The archbishop was almost in tears, as was Mary mcAleese.
Peregrine joined us insisting he was only drinking lemon barley water.
Switch to 1am - we had run out of booze and decided to hit the suburbs. We didn't want town as we didn't want to see anyone. So we went to Tramco - the cheesiest disco ever, full of badly dressed people and a DJ who spoke down the mike. Classy.
After it shut we had the bright idea of heading for the late night Indian to get more beer and go back to Rock Chic's for a singsong. But by the time we got there it was very late and I realised I was rather the worse for wear and had to get up for a four hour bus journey to see the family. I only realised this after I told Robbie Thing his band were deadly.
So we rang Jag Tony as we couldn't get a cab. He couldn't pick us up for 15 minutes so we walked to meet him and SHOCK! HORROR! He has changed his car! Lexus Tony just doesn't have the same ring to it.
Of course I missed the first bus and had to do the journey as ever reeking of lager with a brutal hangover.
Got home to see my mum all teary about the Pope and had to point out that the poor man really needed a break.
Went to see my pals - Baby M now refers to me as "auntie" Hurrah!.
Got back late last night and had to go into battle with the woodlice again. Didn't have enough time to putty up the gaps in the bathroom but washed down the windows and put powder along the ledges. And of course I have the bleepy thing that's supposed to keep them out but doesn't. That'll teach the little fuckers......
Dangerous is back from visiting London - we are meeting tonight after work and I am rather excited as I missed him when he was away. But I refuse to tell him that.

It's working. I may have very little to say from now on though. I don't know. My boss drove me to chocolate eating. It is his fault. Working will make me fat (ter)

like most other things in life

I have no idea how this works. I am experimenting. I think it was because I ate a whole Lindt gold bunny just now. I shouldn't have eaten him - he was too pretty to die....
